Sobolvar

The Sobolvar combine the wild ferocity of a wolf with the keen intellect of man.

Physical Description

A Sobolvar blends the body of humanoid composition with a lupine head. A well defined, strong musculature is hidden beneath their thick pelts, which can come in a variety of colors (though gray, black and brown are most common). Sobolvar have eyes of a consummate predator with amber, red and orange being the most common shades. While they possess hands, which end in wicked claws, their feet are no different from the paws of a wolf and their knees bend in the opposite direction.

Possessing strong pack instincts, Sobolvar lean towards possessing White as their Primary Color and Green as one of their Secondary.


Adventurers

Sobolvar adventurers create strong bonds of loyalty with those that they identify as their allies. Even those who have Black as one of their colors are loathe to betray the bonds they forge in adversity and conflict, being individuals of their world. Sobolvar naturally differ to those who they recognize as more powerful but will relentlessly jockey with their other comrades for the next highest position.

Racial Statistics

+2 Strength, +2 Wisdom, -2 Charisma: Sobolvar are graceful of movements and have finely honed senses but their animistic souls can lead to them not fitting in with civilized society.
Medium: Sobolvar are Medium creatures and have no bonuses or penalties due to their size.
Monstrous Humanoid: Sobolvar are Monstrous Humanoids and as such are immune to spells and effects that target Humanoids.
Normal Speed: Sobolvar have a base land speed of 30 feet.
Low-light vision: Sobolvar can see twice as far in conditions of dim or poor lighting.
Darkvision: Sobolvar can see in total darkness out to 60 feet. This vision is black and white but is otherwise the same as regular vision.
Scent: Sobolvar have the Scent extraordinary special quality.
Moonborn Resilience: Sobolvar have Damage Reduction 2 that can only be bypassed by weapons made of silver.
Natural Hunter: Sobolvar receive a +3 racial bonus on Perception and Survival skill checks. This bonus increases to +5 when the Sobolvar has 10 Hit Dice and to +7 when the Sobolvar has 20 or more Hit Dice.
Tooth and Nail: Sobolvar possess two claw attacks and a bite attack that deal damage for a creature of their size category.
