Palinan is the god who represents the science of medicine and the mysticism of the healing arts. He espouses that no living creature should be forced to suffer the slings and arrows of pain and disease for any amount of time other than necessary. He teaches his followers to be merciful, even to the most heinous of foe and to always strive to alleviate the suffering and misery of other living creatures. Palinan takes the form of a kindly humanoid who has reached his winter years, a staff with a green star atop it held in one hand. Palinan's holy symbol is his staff; clerics who worship him gain access to the Good, Healing, Knowledge, Martyr, and Purity domains.
