Bursars

Stoic, self contained and want to taking thought, Bursars are quite the odd man out when it comes to being one of the goblinoid races. Though they possess phenomenal martial prowess they are more concerned with their own growth and the ways of the world and fate.

Physical Description

Bursars are tall and well developed, even the weakest and shortest individuals being quite the physical specimen. Bursars have wide, flat faces with high bridged noses and small protruding lower canines, their eyes sitting a little deep in their sockets (and always being some shade of brown or red) and their ears being flat and wide as well, tapering to points. Bursars have a thick, luxurious coat of body hair that makes it hard to distinguish that they do in fact have facial hair and hair on their heads (rather than an extension of their fur). A Bursar's coat is almost always a deep shade of blood red but some individuals do have coats of other shades of red and sometimes even oranges, browns and purples.

Bursars almost always have Green as their color make up, usually as their Primary.


Adventurers

Bursars become adventurers because they feel somewhere deep inside that it is the right thing for them to do. Bursars get along well with most others and at least humor those who's outlook on life is drastically different from their own.


Racial Statistics

+2 Constitution, +2 Intelligence, -2 Charisma: Bursars are hearty and intuitive but their quiet demeanor and self contained personalities do not lend them to social graces.
Medium: Bursars are Medium creatures and have no bonuses or penalties due to their size.
Normal Speed: Bursars have a base land speed of 30 feet.
Low-light vision: Bursars can see twice as far in conditions of dim or poor lighting.
Athletic: Bursars receive a +3 racial bonus on Acrobatics and Climb skill checks. This bonus increases to +5 when the Bursar has 10 Hit Dice and to +7 when the Bursar has 20 or more Hit Dice.
Deep Thought: Bursars may always take 10 on a Concentration check, even when normally not allowed to.
Hard Body: Bursars receive one extra hit point for every hit dice that they possess. If a Bursar would be reduced to less than 0 hp, they may choose to be disabled instead of falling unconscious but are stabilized either way. If the Bursar takes any extraneous actions (such as attacking or casting a spell) they take 1 point of damage but otherwise can act as normal. A Bursar still dies when their negative hit point total is equal to or greater than their Constitution score. A Bursar who later takes the Diehard feat increases their max negative hit point total by 10.
Hidden Rage: Bursars gains a +1 morale bonus on attack and damage rolls whenever they have lost 20 hit points. These bonuses cap at +10 and last for 10 minutes for every hit dice the Bursar possesses. The Bursar is exhausted for twice the length of time they were in this state. Only damage that was taken in the past hour is counted towards the activation of this ability.
Plainswalker: Bursars receive a +2 competence bonus on Acrobatics checks when jumping and do not need to make Fortitude saves for forced marching until after 12 hours of marching.
Powerful Build: Bursars have the Powerful Build extraordinary special quality.
