Hegyffim


Argumentative, individualistic and passionate creatures, the Hegyffim make a strange contradiction in that they believe in a strong societal makeup to their lives that leads and supports their inner natures.

Physical Description

Hegyffim are quite small, only standing just over three feet high in most cases, having thick bodies that look thicker because of their fur. Hegyffim greatly resemble the Hedgehog, barely being more anthropomorphized than the original creature itself. Hegyffim fur and eyes color tend to come in shades of brown, black, gray, white, tan and cream, their nonfunctional coat of backspikes always being a much darker shade than the rest of their bodies.

Alignment and Religion

The Hegyffim ordinarily have Black as their primary color with Red and White being their secondary colors.

Adventurers

Those Hegyffim who break away from their inborn need for structure take to adventuring quite readily but tend to butt heads even with their most steadfast of allies.




Racial Statistics

+2 Dexterity, +2 Wisdom, -2 Intelligence: Hegyffim are surprisingly nimble and quick and have a sharp grasp on the world around them but are not of the scholarly sort.
Small: Hegyffim are Small creatures and gain a +1 size bonus to their AC, a +1 size bonus on attack rolls, a –1 penalty to their Combat Maneuver Bonus (CMB) and Combat Maneuver Defense (CMD), and a +4 size bonus on Stealth checks.
Normal Speed: Hegyffim have a base land speed of 30 feet.
Burrow: Hegyffim have a burrow speed of 30 feet.
Climb: Hegyffim have a climb speed of 30 feet.
Swim: Hegyffim have a swim speed of 30 feet.
Darkvision: Hegyffim can see in total darkness out to 60 feet. This vision is black and white but is otherwise the same as regular vision.
Low-light vision: Hegyffim can see twice as far in conditions of dim or poor lighting.
Earthcunning: Hegyffim receive a +2 bonus on Perception checks to potentially notice unusual earth-work, such as traps and hidden doors located in earthen walls or floors. They receive a check to notice such features whenever they pass within 10 feet of them, whether or not they are actively looking.
Marathon: Hegyffim receive the Run feat as a bonus feat.
Scent: Hegyffim have the Scent extraordinary special quality.
Skilled: Hegyffim receive one extra skill point at 1st level and every level thereafter.
Strong Muscles: Hegyffim have +1 Natural armor.
Viper Foe: Hegyffim receive a +6 racial bonus on saving throws against poisons.
